The main advantage of the original Bulgarian VemoHerb Tribulus is the high content of the steroid saponin protodioscin (60% standardisation), which is currently one of the strongest protodioscin extracts on the market worldwide (CAUTION - not to be confused with total saponins!) The standardised protodioscin content guarantees a low content of other less effective saponins such as protogracillin and others, the content of flavonoids (always below 10%) and tannins (always below 10%) is also limited.

The original Bulgarian Tribulus, a real guarantee of effectiveness

Not everyone knows that Tribulus Terrestris is a plant found in several parts of the world, such as the United States, South America, Mexico, Spain, India, China and Bulgaria. Even less is known to the public that Bulgarian Tribulus has completely different properties than Tribulus from other parts of the world. The original Bulgarian tribulus contains 40-60 times higher amounts of protodioscin in dry matter compared to tribulus from other parts of the world. For this reason, Bulgarian Tribulus is many times more expensive as a raw material. This difference in composition is due to different plant genotypes, harvesting periods, etc. Therefore, Chinese or Indian tribulus, for example, is used for different purposes such as diuretic effect, etc. No protodioscin content is guaranteed for these products, but only total saponins are usually reported because the protodioscin content is minimal.

Where do I know the original Bulgarian tribulus from?

Currently, there are only two main producers in Bulgaria offering extracts with a high content of protodioscin: VemoHerb Tribulus (60% protodioscin) and Sopharma Tribestan (average 54-55% protodioscin / protogracillin). Vemo99 Ltd. (1996) has a special Tribulus Terrestris extraction technology with a guaranteed content of 60% pure protodioscin.

CAUTION - Never confuse the content of pure protodioscin with the content of total saponins. Saponins are only a general term, so even an extract containing 95 % saponin may only contain 1.5 % protodioscin! The reason is the mentioned origin of the raw material.
